The New Year is coming, every people are very happy. But also many people will have festival on their own. Like the homes for elderly. So I work as a volunteer to go into the homes for the elderly. I would like to give them warm and the festive wishes. Let them feel the family’s warm.

When I first go into this region, I have a very comfortable feeling. At the left side of the garden, there are many elderly people in the sun, and the other is reading the newspaper. I go between them and give them some gifts that my buy. Then I sit down and chat with them about their life. Some people talk their past life.

They say when they were small; they did not have rich life. If their parents have many children’s, they could only afford a child to school. So the other children would stay at home help their many do the housework. I watched their pair of dark hand, have a kind of inexpressible sadness. Then I thought of myself, feel the today life is very warm. But sometimes we don not treasure. Instead, we often complain the bad of life. We also talk about the spring festival. When their children, if they have a sweet, then they would feel very happy. But today’s children will wear the new clothes, have many read packets and the delicious food. We talk many topics.

Then I stand up, go to another places. I go to their bedroom. Their rooms are not very clean, I help them sweep the floor, wash the towels and make the bed. Some old people are also in the bed, they want to go down, and then I help them go down until they sit on the chair. They feel very happy. Then I go to the Old Age Activity Center. Many old people in their. They play the chess, cards and sing opera. I go to see them playing cards. They see me and let me take part in them. At the beginning, I can’t play it then they teach me carefully, so I learn it quickly. When I leave, they let me go there tomorrow. I am very happy to the promised. So I with old people in the homes for the elderly enjoyed a three-day together. I also make the friends with them.

I think they need our help. So I can often go into them and help them to let them know our teenagers are best. We do not live up to the expectations of the motherland since ancient times in china; we have a tradition of respect for the elderly. So as the 21st century teenagers.
