Today, we understand the cultural design of the garden from Mr.zhao. At the beginning,I'm not interest in it,but after listening Ifind the beauty of garden .Thanking for school to us so good chance. I feel very happy.
firstly,he tells us the four Features of the garden are "thin, plain,
thoroughly, Wrinkle" Then he makes some exanple ,likely suzhou classical garden ,the temple of heaven and so on.
In the suzhou classical garden ,Mr.zhao chooses different points of view to say it.At middle part of the garden is centered upon a lake with man-made mountain in the north-west and a numger of attractive buildings in the southwest.the northern part is now a bonsai garden in which about 500 valuable bonsai are put on display.The western part of the garden sets a fine example of good-looking earthen hills studded with yellowstons and covered with maple trees .Featurring man-made mountain and lake scenery in the west and gaeden courts in the east.There is a winding brook lined with weeping willows. And the history of suzhou classical garden is very long .It is fumous in Jin, Tang Song,Yuan,Ming ,andQing dynasty to the present.The whole garden possesses with peide 42 rooms and halls ,a 670-meter-long roofed walkway ,200 lattice-windows of different kinds,44 parallel couolets and stone carvings,373 stelae,and 17 such valuable old trees as gingkoes, southern,wistaria,etc.which fall into 8 catalogues.
In the temple of heaven is a worthwhile visiting place .The temple was built in 1420A.D. during the Ming Dynasty to to offer sacrifice to heaven.The temple is divided by two enclosed walls into inner part and outer part .the main building of the temple lie at the south and north ends of the middle axid line of the inner part .Three echo stone is outside of the gate of the imperial vault of heaven.Ifyou speak facing the vault while standing o the first stone,you will hear one echo;standing on the second and then the third stone, you will hear two and three echoes respectvely.I think it is the wisdom of the aritistic.
